We took the girls to a Sesame Street Live performance this weekend. I hope that I will always remember how much Sarah Wren enjoyed the show! She sat up straight, eyes glued to the stage. She bounced, she danced, she clapped and every once in awhile she would say "el-mo".

October was a busy month! Foolishly hoping that things will settle down, but November is not starting out slow...Today I went along on Savannah's field trip to Cox Farms. Pumpkins, hayrides, slides, tunnels, haystacks. Very seasonal fun.

The girls and I strolled to the park one Tuesday morning. Savannah discovered the merry-go-round and was squealing and laughing with delight. We also enjoyed swinging and slides and the sandbox. Miss Desi showed up with popsicles and watermelon. It was a great day!

Fourth of July 2007. The girls and I went to the Festival in Vienna with our good neighbor Desi. We had much fun on the train ride, pony rides, moonbounce, popsicles and strolling around. Later we had delicious watermelon at home and watched fireworks on television.

Last night was crazy at our house. Sarah Wren's first birthday! We had not planned anything special, but we ended up having a great time. Desi came over to help decorate cupcakes. Elsa was also over and she and Savannah raced around, put sprinkles on the cupcakes and got Sarah Wren worked up. She was doing laps, chasing the older girls and Desi around the house. We all had cupcakes, Sarah Wren demolished her birthday cupcake. It was a festive and fun night.

Ahh....lovely weather today. Pat took the day off and we all went to the Reston Zoo. Mostly a petting zoo, also a few zebras, camels, monkeys and a huge yellow python. Savannah enjoyed feeding the sheep and the goats, especially the baby goats. We were not surprised when Savannah wanted to go on a pony ride, we were very surprised when she actually did it with no hesitation and she loved it. After the Zoo, everyone napped. Later in the evening I made cupcakes to take to daycare and Savannah learned all about cleaning up the batter bowl.
Yummy!

This weekend was the big bicycle assembly. I bought an unassembled Ariel Mermaid bike for Savannah's birthday. Patrick put it together (a painful job)and it is really cute! Savannah was excited about trying it out, but she tries to jump off the bike when she gets going too fast...
MEMORIAL DAY 2007

April and May were crazy busy months. Pat was out of town for most of April and girls were sick part of the time. But we also had some great weather and we spent lots of time outside with neighbors and going to the park.

Tuesday, April 3, a beautiful sunny day. We headed out for Reston Zoo, changed our mind on the way, and ended up at Meadowlark Gardens. Turned out to be a nice decision, the cherry trees were at their peak and were gorgeous. We strolled through the grounds and worked up an appetite, then ended the day at The Vienna Inn with coneys and beer. Nice day.

April Fools Day. This was a good day because we picked Mimi up at the airport. We stopped at Anita's and got breakfast burritos on the way home. It was a dreary day outside, so after eating, we all had a nap. Lovely day. It is great to have Mimi here spending time with us and enjoying the girls.

Spring Break 2007 - The girls and I have just returned from Florida. We had a wonderful time hanging with the folks. Baseball, sunshine, shopping, walks on the beach. Near perfect St. Patrick's Day at Dodgertown.
